Kevin
Shea is a self-employed social entrepreneur retired FDNY from Hazardous
Materials Operations at Hazmat Technician II level after sustaining
major injuries during 9/11. Kevin graduated for elementary school
teaching at St. Joseph's College, and earned a masters in Survey of
Technology and Society at Stony Brook University; He currently owns
and is the Chief Adventure Officer of three corporations revolving
around alternative and renewable energy as well as community
development. He built and lives in the nation's largest and most
energy efficient dome home, in the United States, integrating solar,
wind, and geothermal energy in an already efficient structure. Kevin
manufactures biodiesel for the local community with waste vegetable
oil; and he works internationally to create environmental banks,
sustainable farms, and the first true "green" action theme park in the
world. Kevin is currently also volunteer with the Disaster Assistance
Response Team (DART) with the FDNY and American Red Cross. The unit
handle logistics support and anything that is needed during a national
disaster (e.g. 2008 Hurricane Ike)
