The range is from the least concerned to the critically endangered, and we have been inclusive of various habitats due to our proximity to varied habitats and our plans to create wetlands and freshwater pools in our lowland dry tropical forests.

While exploring the Northeast section of the reserve for the fertile valley, we discovered a group of
howler monkeys. Howlers are called "congos" in Nicaragua. Their name comes from their
distinctive loud barking whoop they make, which can be heard over
nearly 3 miles. They are considered the loudest land animal. Though they don't grow much above two feet, there "howl" sounds like King Kong. |

began in Central America (no old records, unfortunately). O is on to ensure protection and cultivation of this family tree to harvest its sweet, nutritious fruit. |
